Finally some news about the Food Fair !
Assume we have recovered from the Food Fair weekend. A big and very successful couple of days ! Thoroughly enjoyed working with you all.
Once again congratulations to all our volunteers who gave up all or part of their precious weekends and travelled from afar and particularly our head chefs, Jennifer Moffit and Brian Tyquin (and his enthusiastic imported team of galley staff) on a fabulously successful job !
A big thankyou to those who made such a fabulous contribution of cooking, washing up, preparation, serving, cleaning up to the overall success.

I can say that these people are VERY supportive and enthusiastic about supporting our product ..
Overall impression. The general sense is that grass fed locally grown beef is now firmly on the agenda with the Shoalhaven 'Market' !

ReplyDeleteGreat to hear we are getting so much good feedback. I myself purchased some excellent T bones from the Berry butcher marked with our Shoalhaven Beef sign.
I noticed Stu was looking at purchasing a set of cattle scales. I was wondering if this is something that the SBPA could consider purchasing as a group? How many of the group already have their own? Could we get some idea?
Janet - we just purchased scales and are very excited at what we can do with them. Proved Greg was beefing up again :). But really it is great for demonstrating our eye isn't as reliable as we'd have liked, and we can now start to get a little more scientific with our planning. It also showed us just how much weight our poor calves lost between leaving us and being sold at market. Quite distressing. At loeast now we can address that.
